The Guinness Storehouse has become the most popular tourist attraction in Dublin. This vast brewery and storehouse has been transformed into a wonderful museum and also houses a very popular art gallery.

It was founded by Arthur Guinness in 1759 and covers a 60-acre site, spreading west from Christ Church Cathedral.

Dublin Guinness Storehouse
Guinness stout, a dark brew made with roasted malt, is the national drink in Ireland and it is served in every single pub throughout the country. Although the brewery itself is closed to members of the public, the Guinness Storehouse, where the brewery has traditionally stored its hop supplies, is a truly spectacular attraction. Set in a 1904 brick and cast-iron warehouse, the six-floor museum is full of interesting features, including audio-visuals, videos, interactive displays and a huge amount of Guinness memorabilia. Multi-media displays explain how a tiny brewery in St. James's Gate soon became a global name, serving more than 10 million glasses of Guinness a day. There are countless creative displays, including a gushing waterfall, enormous vats, a walk-through 600-barrel copper vat, antique presses, barrel making, a look at bottle and can design over the years and also an interesting and comprehensive exhibition of the advertising history of Guinness.

Tours are self-guided, with arrows directing you from one section to the next. At the very top of the Guinness Storehouse is the star attraction - the Gravity Bar. Here you can enjoy a free pint of Guinness, or other drink, whilst overlooking the city through the 360-degree windows. The pint is probably the best tasting Guinness to be had anywhere, since it has not had to travel. With spectacular panoramic views, the best in Dublin, the bar provides the perfect place to end your tour.

Dublin Guinness StorehouseAlso in the Storehouse is a pint-pulling training bar for bar staff from the 150 countries where Guinness is served, a restaurant and shop, full of a fantastic range of non-alcoholic Guinness souvenirs. You can easily reach the storehouse by bus and it is within walking distance from the city centre.
Open: daily, 09:30 to 17:00
